Meet the Teachers
Ms. Michelle Voeller – Director/Teacher
My years of serving as teacher and director in parent participation preschools have been enjoyable for many reasons. The main one, of course, is that I truly love working with young children - their sense of wonder and joy is amazing! Working together with families to meet the needs of their children has been and continues to be extremely rewarding. The traditional Riviera United Methodist Preschool (R.U.M.P.) philosophy is the same as my own. I recognize each child as an individual who should be afforded opportunities to learn and grow in his/her own unique way.
My goal is to establish a safe, loving and supportive classroom environment in which children and parents are treated with kindness and respect. By creating an engaging atmosphere, interactive learning centers and fun hands-on-activities, the children are stimulated and successful. Being the Director as well as the teacher has given me the opportunity and the challenge to create a developmentally appropriate thematic curriculum while incorporating kindergarten readiness and parent education into the program. My heart is committed to children, building a sense of community, and to providing a quality program in the field of early childhood education.
I truly appreciate the time and dedication each parent gives to our school. We, as parents and as educators, are continually learning from one another and from our children. The rewards of personal growth, friendship and the incalculable benefits to the children will, hopefully, make your experiences as a parent in our program as meaningful to you as mine as a teacher are to me. I look forward to meeting you!
Ms. Michelle’s education focus has been in Early Childhood and Administration at UCLA, Special Education at the University of Utah, and Deaf Studies and American Sign Language at El Camino College. Ms. Michelle meets all Title 22 requirements.
