The Future
Since 1974, Riviera United Methodist Preschool (R.U.M.P.) has been the first school experience for hundreds of South Bay children. The school was founded on, and continues to live by, the twin values of a developmentally appropriate, play-based early education and parent participation in the classroom. While those values remain central to who we are at R.U.M.P., we recognize that family structures and needs have changed dramatically in the decades since we first opened our doors.
In 2016, we find ourselves ready to evolve into a program that will remain true to our founding values, but will also meet the needs of more families in the South Bay. It is our goal to expand upon our existing program. We seek to provide the same level of nurture and care our current families value, but with the possibility of increased program options, including extended hours or days, to allow more families access to the R.U.M.P. experience for their children.
R.U.M.P. is fully self-funded by income from tuition and fundraising. In order to continue providing our current families with a high quality preschool experience, while also evolving the existing program, we are in need of financial resources above and beyond the income of tuition and small fundraisers. We are seeking to raise $12,000 to help us bridge the gap between R.U.M.P.'s incredible history and the future we envision for R.U.M.P. students for decades to come.
We know the amazing impact that R.U.M.P. has had on four decades of students and families. Please consider helping us continue to make that impact on decades of children and families to come. By supporting our fundraiser, you are honoring the legacy of our past and helping to position R.U.M.P. for a bright future.
